RELX devices maintenance guide (2025) (v3)
RELX devices advice for Trinidad, covering aroma, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
The gap between a mid-range and a premium relx devices narrows once you know which components you actually use. Pricing in Trinidad shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current TTD rates rather than a fixed list price.
There is no single best relx devices for everyone in Trinidad, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. In Trinidad, availability of the 1.5 Ω regular coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself.
What surprised us most was how little the 1.5 Ω regular coil changes the draw character compared with the 55:45 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Cobalt Blue finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the 510 bottom pin takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below.
The 2.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem. Expect roughly 782 full puffs from a charge at 0 mg/ml, based on average session length in our testing. Delivery across Trinidad is typically two to four working days with tracked dispatch, and returns are straightforward within the standard window.
Charging over Type-C fast charge takes about 90 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the Type-C fast charge socket on the base and whether the 1.5 Ω regular coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the AEKU Slim earns its keep: the 1000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 70 and recharges over Type-C fast charge.
For beginners, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 55:45 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Classic Menthol: cool, sharp, described as clean peppermint with consistent coolness. On a 55:45 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.5 Ω regular mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Trinidad
Availability in Trinidad is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.5 Ω regular and the Type-C fast charge are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 bottom pin matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and TTD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Our advice is to order one, use it for a fortnight, and only then decide whether to stock up.
